Revelation 21:27 and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
God will in the end create a new heaven and a new earth . It will be where we dwell in the presence of the Lord. However, this verse explains that only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life will enter. Our names are left in the Lamb's book of life when we are saved. When we receive the gift of Salvation by the Grace of God through the measure of faith given from God to all men. Once we place that faith in the gospel of Christ we are placed in God the Father's hand in which no one can pluck us out. However, then we notice nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it. This shows us that someone who is saved should not PRACTICE things that are an abomination to God. To practice means to spend time with. In one definition it is used as a night and a day. In another it used as spend a year and yet In another it is used as continually. It means to do over and over. The word abomination is used in the Bible in 43 verse describing many sins including: idol worship, false sacrifice, cheating, stealing, homosexuality, pride and many more. However, one abomination listed in the Bible is also listed here separately. That is the sinful abomination of lying. Why did God place lying separate? Is it because it is the sin that many will use at judgment. Matthew 7:22-23 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’
Do not think you can lie your way into heaven. Lying has become the norm in society today. It is either not looked at as a sin or is looked at as a minor sin. This is simply a lie from Satan himself, (the father of lies.) God calls lying an abomination in multiple locations in scripture. Then when describing who will not enter into His kingdom He says, no one who practices abominations and lying. He gives it a special mention. Look at yourself and see do you practice any of the abominations to God including lying? A person who is saved will not do this. If you are doing this over a day and a night, or over a year, seek God's help to stop before you do it continuously. Make sure you have by the Grace of God placed your measure of faith in Jesus and then live in Him.
