MISSIONS
MISSION PROGRAMS
At Middlefork Road Baptist Church we believe in serving others. We are deeply involved in local missions through our Brotherhood, Inasmuch, and WMU (Women's Missionary Union) programs. We look to help people locally, people across the nation, and even people who live abroad.
CONSTRUCTORS FOR CHRIST
Each year, a group a volunteers from our church as well as other churches across the nation, work together to build one new church per year somewhere in the United States. This labor is provided at no expense to the church. They only need to provide the materials. Each volunteer group donates 1 week to help build the church and at the end of 5 weeks the church is usually complete except for inside finishes. This is the same group that helped build our church at Middlefork and we have been sending a volunteer group to help them each year since then. It is wonderful to be a part of such a great ministry.
HOOKSETT NH.
CHURCH PLANT PARTNERSHIP
We came on board at the beginning of our church planter's lives in Hooksett. We pray for them, assist financially, and make a yearly trip to be their hands and feet as they seek to be a church "For the City, For the KINGDOM"!
We love "Sharing the Way", through our Church plant partners at Fellowship Church Granite State.
WMU
The purpose of the WMU (Women's Missionary Union) is to inform and inspire Christians to influence their world for Christ and to teach and involve the church in missions. Each year the WMU is involved in numerous mission activities. They encourage us each year to give to North America Missions Offerings, the Golden Offering for Tennessee State Missions, and the Lottie Moon Offering for International Missions. They also inspire us to give to the Mother's Day Offering for Tennessee Baptist Children's Homes and the Father's Day Offering for Tennessee Adult Homes. Through the WMU we also support Birthchoice, RIFA, and Operation Christmas Child. The WMU also has an annual Women's Retreat at Camp Linden.
YOUTH TOWN BOYS AND GIRLS WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY
Every week men and women conduct a Bible Study with both the boys and girls of Youth Town. What an amazing ministry of Sharing the Way!
BROTHERHOOD
The men's Brotherhood is involved in local benevolent needs in our community. They look for projects locally where they can help people who are in need. They have built several wheel chair ramps, repaired roofs, and even put up privacy fences. They also installed the playground equipment at our church. They also have been known to have camping trips that also involve a little fishing.
SHARING THE WAY WITH READING
Ladies from Middlefork Road Baptist Church, tutor students weekly during the school year with their reading. During this time they make sure to show the love of Christ. They get such a blessing Sharing the Way through this tutoring ministry.
