2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 To this end also we pray for you always, that our God will count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
God has given everyone a calling. It is the responsibility of undershepherds to pray for you in that calling. This can only happen if you are actively involved in a church. This is how you are worthy of the calling by serving through a church in your life. Notice the undershepherds don't pray for God to fulfill every desire but instead every desire for GOODNESS AND THE WORK OF FAITH. How many of your desires are for Goodness and the Work of Faith? Paul prays that those desires will be fulfilled in power. There is a reason for this. It is so that Jesus will be glorified as Lord of your life as you live in Him. This can and will happen if your desire is to live in service to Him through the manifold GRACE of THE LORD JESUS. Oh, how beautiful the life of man must look when our desire matches with God's desire and man is prayed for with active service through the local church.
Praying your life is beautifully matched with the desire of God for you
