Ephesians 6:9 NASB95 And masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him.

The greatest example of leadership that has ever been is Christ. He is a servant leader who warned and taught with love and authority. He did not threaten but warned and called all to follow Him. He led by living a life of Holiness. He lived His life to point people to the Father in heaven. Never being led astray but always standing firm on the foundation of God. He gave of Himself for our benefit. He sacrificed Himself to offer freedom to others.

He did not order but gave the command and left it up to them to freely choose whether to follow. Those that follow do so out of a desire because of who He is.

We who are Christians are expected to follow Christ by leading others to the Father through the Way of Christ. Always give them the Truth so they can have Life. You can give them His commands but you can not force them to obey. Threatening will not get them to follow! However, giving a clear warning out of love while living in obedience with service and a sacrifice of self, will show them the greatest example of leadership.

Remember that you also are not deserving of the gifts of Christ. It is only by His mercy, grace, leadership, and sacrifice that you are forgiven. So treat them as you desire to be treated.

Love Bro. Scott
