Imagine stepping into a breathtaking garden where the world's most beautiful landscapes merge under a sun-warmed, Mediterranean climate. Living art unfolds at every turn as vibrant carpets of blossoms border mirror-like lakes, while a meditative symphony of trickling water and swaying bamboo creates a soothing, calming sound. Smooth paths and shaded wisteria create natural pergolas inviting aimless wandering and quiet rest. This tranquil paradise culminates in an aromatic edible landscape, where orchards hang heavy with fruit. Figs and citrus fruits are in abundance, along with tea leaves and coffee offering fragrant smells that entice your taste buds for garden-fresh delights.

This description has been put together from the description pages of the top twenty-five ranked gardens in the world. When putting them all together, we get a sense of a garden that provides everything that God desires for us to have from the abundance of His creation. Yet it falls terribly short of the actual garden God created and desired for mankind to enjoy. The garden where His perfect comfort, peace, fullness, and fellowship would be available for eternity. Unless man refused God's love and guidance.

It is talked about in our text today. Genesis 2:8-10 NASB95: The LORD God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden; and there He placed the man whom He had formed. Out of the ground the LORD God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to the sight and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Now a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it divided and became four rivers.

What a truly indescribable Lord we have. He provided us with an abundance of His Holiness in the provision of every need and desire man could want. Listen to the description while knowing that words are unable to describe God or His glory.

Every tree is pleasing in our sight. They are good for food. Meaning they are edible and nourish our God-formed body in life. The tree of life is also in the midst of the garden. It was to sustain life.

Then there was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This tree was good, but it was not for food. Yet man was unfaithful and ate.

There was also a glorious river that watered the garden.

There has never been a more perfect place for man to reside on earth. Not just because of the perfection of every item in the garden, but because of God's presence with man in the garden.

We would long to have a home in the garden that I described at the beginning of this devotional. Yet mankind gave up a home in an even better garden with the truly amazing and indescribable God.

However, this God is so wonderful that He provided a way back. Through the atoning sacrifice of His Son.

If you think you would like to live with the perfect God of Love, Holiness, and Righteousness, in the most beautiful place ever created. He makes it very simple to join Him there. Romans 10:9-10 NASB95 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

Here in His salvation, you will be with God forever and enjoy the Garden with Him again. Revelation 22:1-2 NASB95 Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Join me as:

I come to the garden alone,

While the dew is still on the roses;

And the voice I hear, falling on my ear,

The Son of God discloses.

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,

And He tells me I am His own,

And the joy we share as we tarry there,

None other has ever known.

However, you are invited!

Love Brother Scott
