Your life is not about you!

If not then what is it about?

If you live your life with a focus on yourself, your pleasure, your growth, your peace, your joy, your wealth, your health, and your glorification, then you will die leaving nothing but your waste, as you receive your eternal fate.

Life is not about you. It is about God!

1 Corinthians 10:24 NASB95 Let no one seek his own good, but that of his neighbor.

God created man to share Himself with. We are made in His image so we can receive Him and share Him with others. Just as He shares Himself with us. When we focus on ourselves we lose the realization that others are watching us. We, therefore, are showing them that focusing on self is right. When we know it is not. Thus we cause them to stumble. Paul writes to the church of Corinth and to the believers in Rome telling both NOT to cause a brother to stumble. It is impossible not to be a stumbling block when we are self-focused. However, when we are focused on God, who is focused on reaching people, we will not only avoid causing our brothers to stumble, but we also will seek to help them avoid their own stumbling points. Our goal in life will not be our success but our neighbors. Their success in being more like Christ. 1 Corinthians 10:32-33 NASB95 Give no offense either to Jews or to Greeks or to the church of God; just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit but the profit of the many, so that they may be saved.

Do you serve based on how you will benefit? Do you make decisions based on how it will grow you? Do you avoid, follow, act, live, and lead based on you? If so, you are a stumbling block to others, you are not leaving anything but waste behind for your friends, family, children, grandchildren, neighbors, and the church.

Do not let your life be a waste. Instead, let it be spent for the glorification of God to the benefit of others through Salvation in Christ.

This is what your life is meant to be about.
