Psalm 36:5 NASB95 Your lovingkindness, O LORD, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

What a beautiful description of our LORD God.

The text tells us that His lovingkindness is in the heavens. If we stop and think of this we realize that the greatest love of God and His ultimate kindness are both experienced in His presence. To date, the greatest lovingkindness I have experienced of God was at the moment of Salvation when His Spirit indwelled me. I have been blessed to experience many more moments of excitement and joy (lovingkindness) in Christ, in addition to that first one. Yet it was the greatest. His presence inside of me is the reason. When I look at all the others they have something in common as well. They have always been with His presence increasing in power as I have surrendered my will to Him.

The LORD God's lovingkindness is always experienced in His presence. The greatest experience of this is yet to come. It will be in His throne room at the foot of the throne looking upon His face. This is Heaven and this is where His lovingkindness will reach its maximum level as we will be with Him there forever. Our text says, "Your lovingkindness, O LORD, extends to the heavens."

How we get there is revealed in the next description of our LORD God. The text says, "Your faithfulness reaches to the skies." Heaven is above the skies and we traverse this distance of the sky by His faithfulness. He made a promise in the garden that the seed of the woman would crush or bruise the head of Satan (death). Because of His faithfulness, Jesus did just that. Our text says, "Your faithfulness reaches to the skies." By the measure of faith the LORD God has given everyone we can receive His grace. By crossing the sky in His faithfulness. Thus we can enter into heaven and there experience His lovingkindness in His presence. What a beautiful description of our LORD God.

Have faith in His faithfulness and experience His lovingkindness in His eternal presence!

Today keep in mind that the LORD God's lovingkindness is experienced in His faithfulness. Put your faith in Him and experience His grace (lovingkindness).
