How many times have you felt broken because of the weight of life? You look at all the requirements of living, and you think it is too much. You think I have to keep this job so we can keep this house. I have to work this much overtime so my kids can have these things. I have to be at every school event so they will know I care. I have to get this car so people will like me. I have to do this, to impress them and that, to make sure they know I am successful. The weight of living is nothing more than peer pressure. Pressure brought on by the people we know. A lot of times the pressure is not even from our peers but from ourselves thinking that our peers would think less of us. Every bit of this is brought on by Satan. His guidance which has caused our living, in an upside down sin filled world. It is added to by a pride-filled view of the most important thing, which we see as right now! If we would look at the world through a humble view, seeing that now is nothing more than a moment in time. Then nothing would carry the weight that it does presently except eternal salvation.

The world will not stop stacking on you weight after weight of the pressures of living in this world but God will carry the burden for you. Psalms 129:2 NASB1995 “Many times they have persecuted me from my youth up; Yet they have not prevailed against me.

I realize now what I didn't when I was without Christ or a babe in my faith. That when I rely on Christ and in Him with humility and faith He holds the weight of persecution off of my back. Many Christians around the world today face a martyr's death. They do so with strength because, Humbly in faith, they know Christ has already endured the persecution of their sin.

Do not be bogged down by the weight of life. In Christ, life was bought and paid for, and His yoke is easy, and His burden is light. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30 NASB1995 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
