Many people attend church weekly and are actually "members" of the Church yet they have no personal relationship with God. This is such a dangerous place to be. While it is good that they are setting under the preaching of the word, it is still extremely dangerous. The reason it is so dangerous is there is no one so vital to Satan and his purpose, than the one who is in the middle of the Family of God but is not part of the family. They have influence and are known and trusted by the Church. So Satan sees this person as a way to disrupt the Church and God's mission. Satan also knows that he has a clear path to indwell this person. Satan and his demons can not dwell in the presence of God. So Christians have no fear of being demon-possessed. However, a lost person in an intimate relationship with the Family of God (non-saved church member) is a prime opportunity for Satan to indwell. They are a prime opportunity for him to introduce evil into the church. They are a prime opportunity for him to bring death to the church. We see an example of this in our text today. Luke 22:3 NASB1995

And Satan entered into Judas who was called Iscariot, belonging to the number of the twelve.

We all know the history of Judas. He was one of the twelve and yet he never truly believed and decided to follow Jesus. He was always there but he wasn't ever THERE IN SPIRIT. His goal was always to focus and take care of himself. He was the perfect way for Satan to bring death to God's Son and that is just what he did. He was wide open for indewelling.

So are all lost people but especially those who act like they are part of God's family when they are not. Those people who think they have everybody fooled. Not only have they not fooled God but they also haven't fooled Satan.

Is this you? Is there someone you think might be this person? For the sake of the possibility of being demon-possessed, or worse, spending eternity in Hell, I stress that you or they need to call on Jesus now! You need to repent and seek Jesus immediately! Do not play around. This cost Judas His life and eternal life.

There is a good thing found in this HIStory. Jesus rose from the dead. He defeated death for you and for me. So even someone demon-possessed can be saved. Although Jesus made it clear, that for some who are possessed, it takes much prayer and fasting.

I plead with those who are lost, to seek God now. Do not just attend church, Be the Church!
