Micah 4:2 NASB1995 Many nations will come and say, “Come and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord And to the house of the God of Jacob, That He may teach us about His ways And that we may walk in His paths.” For from Zion will go forth the law, Even the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
I have recently started asking God nightly to reveal to me everything I put in front of Him. I drew a plumb line and stages of leaning one for every idol that I placed in front of God. I am amazed at how quickly He is pointing out to me my idols each day. I am really excited about how I am getting closer to Him daily. In our text it says Many nations will come and say, “Come and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord And to the house of the God of Jacob, That He may teach us about His ways And that we may walk in His paths." This reminds me of Revelation 7:9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands;
The Church will come seeking how to walk closer to God. The CHURCH will make an effort to be with God. They will go UP the mountain to the Lord. They will GO TO the house of the Lord. They will DESIRE to learn HIS TEACHINGS, and to WALK (FOLLOW) His paths. Most churches today SEEK how to minimize the number of services (other than Sunday morning). They seek not to go UP, not to GO TO, not to LEARN HIS TEACHINGS, and not to WALK (FOLLOW) His paths. This tells me many churches are no longer CHURCHES. Wheat and tares often look alike. However, our text says For from Zion will go forth the law, Even the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. Jesus comes forth from the Mountain and the House of God (Zion) and John the Baptist tells us that Jesus will separate the wheat and the tare. Matthew 3:12 NASB1995 His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
Are you a tare in a field of wheat?
Do you desire to go up to and in to the Mountain and the house of God? Do you desire Him to teach you? Do you want to walk in His path?
Come be a part of the multitude.
Seek to put God first. Seek to hear, learn, and follow Him. In churches filled with tares be part of the CHURCH which is wheat!
