Job 42:5 I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; But now my eye sees You;
In this verse, we see and have explained, the difference between faith placed in God and faith lived in God . In chapter one of Job, we see that Job is a man of faith. God calls him a blameless and upright man who fears God and turns away from evil. Job had faith in the Lord. He desired to please the Lord. Job said I have heard of you by hearing of the ear. He knew God existed and he placed his faith in Him. Then God allowed Satan to sift him through the fire of suffering. Satan thought this would cause Job to forget his faith but God knew it would cause Job to live his faith. Faith is like a muscle. We have it and use it to move but when we don't exercise it, (push it further and further), then it gets weak. However, when we use the muscle after it has been strengthend by exercise, it works better and with more ease and the task of moving is simple. Job used his faith to push his way through the suffering. He came out the other side with a faith that no longer knew God by hearing but now knew Him by sight. As an immature Christian in faith I knew God but I was easily turned by the world to bring about doubt. As I have matured and exercised my faith, God has grown it into an experience that no one can cause me to doubt. I have went, from hearing, to seeing God as I haved lived my faith in God. I don't think there is a God, I KNOW (IT IS A FACT) THAT I HAVE A GOD! HIS NAME IS JESUS! Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Faith, is the ASSURANCE of what I have not seen with my eyes but I have experienced with my all. This is better than seeing with my eyes. I have seen many things with my eyes that I have never possessed but what I possess, I see!
Job was saying the same thing Simeon said when he beheld with his eyes and then held Jesus as a baby in his arms. I am saying the same thing to you now. Luke 2:30 For my eyes have seen Your salvation!
