2 Corinthians 12:10 NASB95 Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
Have you ever noticed that in your weakest and most vulnerable moments you turn to God more consistently and with deeper desire? When you are under attack, you pray to Him for help, and He carries you through. Paul, in the previous verses, speaks of a torment he is suffering. He refers to it as a thorn in the flesh and says that, on multiple occasions, he asked God to help him by removing it, and Jesus, his Lord, responded, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Jesus lets Paul know that, in His grace, Paul is protected, and in this torment, Paul's reliance on Jesus has shown Jesus' strength and power to overcome.
Jesus prepares us for the temptations and trials of this world. He warns us that, as Christ followers, we will be under attack.
John 15:18 NASB95 “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.
John 15:20 NASB95 “Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also.
John 16:33 NASB95 “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
It is difficult, but when you are under attack, remember that this is to be expected for a child of God who is living in a fallen world. However, you do not need to handle it on your own. You are not strong enough, wise enough, or courageous enough, but you are not alone. So just go to your heavenly Father and say, God, help me show your strength; provide me with your grace, and help me to remember that greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world.

Psalm 121:1-2 NASB95 A Song of Ascents. I will lift my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.
