Do you ever wonder if the good you do goes unnoticed? You are not doing it to get noticed, but when you are under attack, you think, maybe if they knew all I do to help people, they would not attack me. From the scripture today I pray you will see three things about our efforts to help others for God's Glory. Our text today says, Esther 2:22-23 NASB95 But the plot became known to Mordecai and he told Queen Esther, and Esther informed the king in Mordecai’s name. Now when the plot was investigated and found to be so, they were both hanged on a gallows; and it was written in the Book of the Chronicles in the king’s presence.

So Mordecai, who is a Jew and who loves the Lord, finds out that two people are attempting to kill the king. He tells the queen who is secretly his niece. She tells the king, and the men are killed. The King is saved because of the good efforts of Mordecai. Yet nothing happens to Mordecai. In fact, in time, he gets attacked by one of the king's servants. Mordecai has to be thinking, don't they realize I saved the King's life?

The 1st. Thing we need to see is that God placed Mordecai in the position to do good. Mordecai would later say to his niece, "Who knows, maybe you attained your position for such a time as this." He is saying maybe God put you in this place to do good at this exact moment. When you have an opportunity to do good for the glory of God, you need to realize God has placed you there for that very reason.

2nd. Our text says, "It was written in the Book of the Chronicles in the king’s presence."

Even if no one notices your effort, it has been written in the presence of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He will not forget what you have done. The glory is to the Father who does the work through you. However, you will have crowns in heaven. That is, if you are saved through the Grace of God by faith. These crowns will be laid at the feet of Jesus whom the glory goes. So don't forget that when you start to wonder if anyone realizes all you attempt to do for God, that He knows. It is written in His book and He will never forget.

3rd. If we continue reading in the book of Esther, we will see that at the perfect time, Mordecai is recognized and honored for his actions. We must be patient. At the perfect timing when the recognition will bring the most glory to God He will reveal the good He has done through you. It might not be on this side of heaven but it will be at the perfect time. God's timing is perfect timing.

So just continue on following God and doing all the good He places in front of you. Then, when the enemy attacks, don't fret, God will take care of you and reveal it at the perfect time.

Remember you didn't do it for you anyway!

It was always for His glory, and protecting His servants for eternity is for His glory as well. At the perfect timing, the recognition helped to save not just Mordecai but also all the Jews.

Love Bro. Scott
