1 Timothy 2:8 NASB95 Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension.

It is so important that men lead their families in prayer. The guidance of a man going to the Lord is one of the best teaching experiences that the family can have. Especially if the prayer is done in the right conscience and with the right motive.

There is no place where it is wrong to pray but there is one place Paul wants it to be clear that a man should lead. This place is prayer. A man who doesn't lead with prayer is leading his followers (family) in the wrong direction.

However, Paul makes it clear that prayer should be done correctly. A man who doesn't show reverence to God is not going to approach Him for long. Paul says men should pray with Holy hands lifted high. Holy is righteous. If this is not you then your first prayer needs to be in repentance. Do not go to the Lord in wrath and anger. Instead, lead others by going to the Lord in praise and worship. The reason there are so many who have failed to lead their family is because men have lost the power of righteous prayer.

Because of this families have lost the power of a righteous prayer. Because of this Churches have lost the power of righteous prayer. If we are to be obedient to the teachings of Christ, we must get back to men who in every place desire to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension.

Men, are you praying? Are you praying righteously? Are you praying in the power of Holy Hands for the Glory of God and the edification of your family and church?

Let's Pray!

Love Bro. Scott
