I remember being in church as a younger person and thinking I was tired of the preacher saying the same thing multiple weeks. I told him I wish he would go on to something else because I had already learned that. He said others haven't.

I, as a preacher, will from time to time ask if anyone remembers something I have taught them at an earlier time. The reason I do this is because, as a God called Pastor, I desire to teach scripture so that people will be able to use, recall, and rely on that Godly wisdom to live in obedience to God the Father.

Peter says this as well. 2 Peter 1:15 NASB95 And I will also be diligent that at any time after my departure you will be able to call these things to mind.

Jesus modeled this so that His apostles would learn it and teach it throughout time.

So when you feel as if your Sunday School teacher, preacher, and/or Christian brother or sister, keeps telling you the same thing over and over, remember they are not attempting to be annoying. Instead, they, in love desire to be like Jesus and leave you with Godly wisdom that will help you to live a righteous life after they are gone.
