‭Romans 2:24 For “the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” just as it is written.

No believer/follower of God wants to blaspheme the name of God nor do they want to cause others to do this either. However, this chapter and this verse describes how it happens all too often. When you proclaim Jesus but live like He doesn't exist then you according to scripture cause nonbelievers to blaspheme God. When you judge people for sins that you are committing then according to scripture you are causing nonbelievers to blaspheme God. When you know and teach the commandments of God and then don't follow them you are causing nonbelievers to blaspheme God. For example when you tell them not to steal but you do (take ANYTHING that is not yours) then you cause nonbelievers to blaspheme God. ‭Romans 2:2 And we know that the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who practice such things.

All will be judged according to their deeds. The ones who blaspheme for blaspheme and the ones who entice blasphemy for enticing blasphemy. We know from chapter 1 verse 16 that the Gospel of Christ is the power of God for salvation. So there is forgiveness and salvation by God's Grace through faith. Verse 4 of chapter 2 tells us that the kindness of God leads to repentance. Do you cause nonbelievers to sin in blaspheme for your actions? Do you feel a desire to repent? Do you rely on Grace for the forgiveness of your sins? Does the kindness of God cause you to desire to live in the Grace of God bringing others to repentance? If not, then carefully check that you have the Grace through the gospel to save you from your wages of sin. ‭Romans 2:5-8 But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, ‭who will render to each person according to his deeds: to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation.

Live in Christ under God's Grace while striving to bring nonbelievers to faith instead of causing blasphemy.
