It amazes me how many thieves and those running from the law get caught by going back to their old habits. If they hang out in a certain place they end up going back there. If they steal in a certain area they go back to it. The police are expecting this so they stake out those places and finally catch them.

Scripture says, 1 Thessalonians 5:2 NASB95 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.

The police know that they will eventually come, so they prepare and wait. They do not know when their suspect will arrive so they get prepared first and then they are patient. We know that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. So we must first get prepared, and then we must be patient.

On the few occasions that the police miss their suspect, it is not because the thief didn't come. It is because they have not been patient enough. This is usually because they thought they were prepared but they were not.

This happens to many people in their lives. They feel that their preparation was sufficient. What they do not understand is that they are not capable of being prepared. Instead, Jesus did it for them. What they must do is completely trust in His work.

Police love it when an informant gives them all the information they need.

Jesus loves it when we inform others of His return and share with them all they need to know, so that they may place their faith in Him. This way they can be prepared and patiently wait for the day of the Lord.

Are you ready?

We don't know the day nor the hour but we know He will come.

You can trust in Him and His informant the Holy Spirit who breathed out God's plan so it could be penned in Scripture.

The Day of the Lord is coming Jesus wants you to be ready so He has given you everything but the time. All you have to do is truly trust and wait.

Love Bro. Scott
