‭2 Corinthians 9:7-12 Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed; as it is written, “He scattered abroad, he gave to the poor, His righteousness endures forever.” Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God.

Today's scripture is not a prosperity scripture as some would take it. The focus of our text is God's gracious and abundant giving to supply the spreading of the gospel. If God gives you prosperity it is for you to further the gospel. Not to further your Blessings. The great thing about furthering the gospel is that it grows the Kingdom of God which Blessed you. However, you should not give out of a desire to be blessed but out of a desire to bless. "God loves a cheerful giver." It goes on to say that He will "multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your RIGHTEOUSNES." Righteousness is doing what is right. Sharing the Way, Growing God's Kingdom through blessing others. The text says "God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed." God desires to Bless us in abundance so we can with liberality bless others.

Don't focus on growing your own blessings. Instead, look for ways to grow blessings you bestow to others. For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God. Let this be your desire.

Love Bro. Scott
