A few years ago, when I was on social media, I used to see posts come across with a quiz or questions. I never did them but they were supposed to reveal your go-to person. The title would be things like " Are you my final ride, my ride or die, my lifeline, my support, my backbone, my backup, my six, and many more. The basic thought was, answer these questions, and let's see who knows me best and is the one person I can trust to be with me until the end.

The truth is every person you have met or ever will meet will let you down at some point. I am not saying that they desire to let you down. I am saying they are human and mankind is mortal, fallible, and sinful. They are not capable of being the perfect support person that you desire.

Yet, almost everyone has a go-to person. This person could change throughout your life. This happens because life happens. You move, they move, you meet other people and so do they. This can be very discouraging, but God has the solution.

The solution has already gone all the way to death for you. In fact, this "go to" defeated death and lives forevermore, for you. This person has never failed. When you want to talk to him you never get his voicemail. He is never too busy. He is never on vacation, out of town, sick, or asleep. He is truly the only go-to that is always there. He wants to be your final ride in the clouds. If you don't ride with him you will die( ride or die.) He is the life, (lifeline.) He supports you by being your intercession with the Father, (support.) He is your strength as He is omnipotent, (backbone.) With Him you are guaranteed. You do not need a backup plan, (backup.) He watches over you, not just your six but your three, nine, and twelve, (six.)

Scripture reveals He is our only chance, all others fail. Psalm 108:12-13 NASB95 Oh give us help against the adversary, For deliverance by man is in vain. Through God we will do valiantly, and it is He who shall tread down our adversaries.

He helps because man's deliverance is nothing, non-existent. God gives assurance because of the valiant success of His Son. In Him, Satan will be crushed. It is He who shall tread down our adversaries. He shall bruise you on the head. Genesis 3:15.

When life throws you a curve, a slider, a knuckleball, or just hits you square in the head, don't reach for your phone. Your real go-to is not there. Instead, pray and know He is what no one else can be. He is the way!

John 14:6 NASB95 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

With a lifeline like that Jesus should always be the answer to the question. It should be Jesus first, middle, and last.
