I once saw a NASCAR car at a store. It was shiny and looked amazingly powerful. I then found out it didn't even have an engine in it. They had to push it off the truck and into its spot for display.

I went to a NASCAR race and saw a car that looked EXACTLY the same only it was running around the track at almost 200 mph. I could easily be fooled by the looks of the other car but when you study it closely, it didn't have what it needed to be real.

Have you been fooled by the antichrist, where you thought he was Christ?

In 1 John 2:18 NASB95 Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour.

This explains to us that there are multiple manifestations of antichrists at work throughout time.

Then in our text today we read about the epitome or last and most powerful existence of the antichrist

2 Thessalonians 2:9 NASB95 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders.

When he comes he will be in complete accord with the activity (desires) of Satan. He will have all of Satan's power and will do signs and false wonders.

The antichrists now have power, signs, and false wonders, but we have the authority of the Bible and the understanding of the Holy Spirit to see that he is not Christ. That is if we look under the hood. (Open and study the word of God)

This is why I tell people to be careful looking for signs alone. Satan and his antichrist often use signs and false wonders to make people think that they are following God.

I have seen it many times where people have said, "This happened after I prayed, so I know it is from God." Yet what they are talking about completely disagrees with scripture. Nothing God does will disagree with His word. Therefore the wonder that happened must be false and come not from Christ but from the antichrist.

I have heard people say I feel at peace, when they are living in sin. But later (sometimes many years later) they realize that they had mistaken not being attacked by Satan, as being at peace. They didn't realize he had stopped the attack because they had surrendered.

When in the heat of battle man is stressed. Immediately after surrender, there is no more fighting. The captured are gathered together. They are taken from the battlefield. They are often fed. They feel like things are good. It is only later that they realize they have been imprisoned by the enemy. Then they realize the feeling was not peace but was just a momentary cease in the stress of battle.

Moments of fleshly pleasure are not peace but a lack of battle pressure. Satan and his antichrist love to use this feeling along with his power, signs, and false wonders, to confuse people into thinking that they are doing right when they are going against God's word.

Let me make this perfectly clear. Going against God's word is Sin and never the desire of God. Any church, feeling, sign, wonder, or person, that says otherwise is either an antichrist or being used by one through the power of Satan!

Christ is not about giving you peace in sin but eternal peace in righteousness. This is why we must seek God's will through His word and understanding of the Holy Spirit, not feelings, signs, and wonders, alone.

Praying, that all, through the study of His word, will find righteousness and peace in Christ, and understanding of the indwelling Holy Spirit.

Don't be fooled, look under the hood (read the scripture)
