A significant life issue is looming ahead; how will you handle it? We have all been in a place where we have seen what looks like an impossible circumstance ahead in life and thought, 'I don't see a way to overcome.'

Whether it is a job issue, a health issue, a family issue, or a schooling issue, the issues never stop. You can worry yourself to the point of illness seeking to find a solution.

These things can and should be a growing experience. I remember being so excited about the upcoming birth of my oldest child. I couldn't wait. However, the first time I held him reality slapped me hard in the face. This little baby relied on me. What would I do? What if I failed? I couldn't allow him to suffer because I might mess up.

Then came the birth of my daughter. A preemie living in the NICU. Would she make it? Would I be able to provide everything she needed? I knew her early needs would be great.

A few years later as a single parent, a major life issue hit me again. How, would I take care of them all alone? I had grown and matured in Christ some since their births, but He still had much to teach me. Often those teaching moments were the significant life issues that were looming ahead.

Jesus used this same process to teach Philip. John 6:5 NASB95 Therefore Jesus, lifting up His eyes and seeing that a large crowd was coming to Him, said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread, so that these may eat?”

Philip, what do you think we need to do to feed this massive crowd? Philip what is your answer? Philip gave the same answer I gave so many times. "How am I gonna do this?" Philip's exact words were, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, for everyone to receive a little.” Basically, he responded There is no way.

The correct answer would have been Lord, You know. Will You tell me? I trust You to take care of it.

God taught me this when I was praying to him, Help me. Lord, I need Your help so I can take care of my family. Lord, I need You to sustain me. His reply was clear. Scott what makes you think I need you to take care of your family? I desire to use you but I don't need you.

Now I understand it is all God. I pray, Lord if You want me to be involved in this please help me to be usable by You.

We see in the very next verse Jesus already knew what He would do. It says, John 6:6 NASB95 This He was saying to test him, for He Himself knew what He was intending to do.

We need to learn from the test.

God, this seems like something huge I trust in faith that You will handle it. Lord, I am willing to be used in any way that You see fit to use me to overcome this life issue.

I no longer ask, Lord, help me to solve the problem but instead I ask, Lord, will You solve the problem and use me if You so choose. I am available for You to mold for Your glory.

Next time you see that a significant life issue is looming ahead; remember it is a test. So go to God and say Here I am. I'm not much but I am Yours. I will not worry but I will focus on You and will overcome. You already have a plan and I trust in You

A+

Jesus had it all along.

Love Bro. Scott
