‭Zechariah 10:1 Ask rain from the Lord at the time of the spring rain— The Lord who makes the storm clouds; And He will give them showers of rain, vegetation in the field to each man.

From this verse, we see that we often don't receive what we pray for because it is not time for it or it is not actually needed. Praying for rain when it is needed is a good thing but to pray for rain after a flood is not. God is telling us to ask for needs at times of need. Often we pray seeking rain for us when the farmers need a drying. God sees the greatest need even when we don't, so when praying ask also for vision and understanding to pray for the actual need. Jesus gave us an example of this when He prayed not my will but thine be done. We see that God is looking at the need of each and every man. You desire rain to green up your grass while the farmer needs dry to remove his crop which you will need to eat in the near future. We need to trust God and His timing. An example is when we pray for a saved person who is dying. Listen to this example. In my father's passing, I felt I needed him. However, God sees that His passing gave Dad eternal life and forced me to step up to my Heavenly Father and live in obedience. In doing so I finally surrendered to His calling to the ministry. Who would have thought that I would be blessed through my father's passing? The answer to that is God!

Pray God's will and watch Him provide vegetation in the field for EACH MAN.

Love Bro. Scott
