Acts 19:2 NASB95 He said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said to him, “No, we have not even heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.”

I wonder how many people have placed their faith in the wrong thing.

Here we have some who have placed faith in the teachings of John the Baptist. While his teachings were 100% true and pointed toward Christ they are not what the faith needs to be placed in. They believed in repentance and repented of their sins in preparation for the coming Messiah. Their problem was The Messiah had already come. This is where Jews are today.

Then, there are many others who have placed their God-given faith in other truths. Like the truth of the law. While the law is true it can not save anyone. Others have placed their faith in baptism. But baptism can't save as we see with these people who had been baptized by John the Baptist.

So how can you know if your faith has been placed in the right one? Paul gives us the answer. Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?

Your faith has to be placed in Jesus, and when it is, the Holy Spirit will come into you.

He will indwell you.

I love to share the story of the young boy who was saved in his bedroom at home. I asked him what happened when he prayed and asked Jesus to save him. He replied, I got energy. I love how a young boy who didn't know how to articulate the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, described the power of His presence.

If you have the Holy Spirit. You are saved. Then the indwelling power or energy will entice you to live for Christ.

Pray today that the power of the Holy Spirit will flow from you. If it does you know the salvation of Jesus is yours.

If not then you need to believe, place your faith in, and commit to truth, that Jesus is Salvation.

Jesus means Jehovah is Salvation!

Place your faith in Him!

Share Jesus

Share Jehovah is Salvation

Share the Way!

Love Bro. Scott
