Is your lamp wick trimmed and do you have oil?

In Matthew 25 we see the parable of the ten virgins. They are waiting for the bridegroom to come but He tarries (not wanting any to parish). So they become sleepy (a picture of the church today). It is dark and around midnight the shout comes that He has arrived. The virgins (church) wake up and grab their lamp but only 5 are prepared with oil (Holy Spirit) the other 5 thought they were ready but they have never received the Holy Spirit. They don't have the grace needed to go into the wedding party because they don't have the light to see. They try to get the other's oil but they need their own. They run to get what they should have already received but look at what the scripture says. ‭Matthew 25:11-12 Later the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open up for us.’ But he answered, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’

God knows the temples where He dwells. He lights the temple so it does not trip in the dark. Is your name written as an address for God the Holy Spirit? Many in the church think because their dwelling is in the neighborhood of God's temples that they are ok. You need to realize that only the thief goes to a house with no lights. The temples with light are not condemned the ones in the dark are condemned already. Don't think because you have an address in the church that your address is in God's book of life. It takes more than a lamp to light the house it takes fuel and the Holy Spirit is that fuel. If you wait until the bridegroom comes it is too late. Look at the last verse of this parable. ‭Matthew 25:13 Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour.

Fuel your lamp now while there is still time. Are you ready for the Bridegroom?

Love Bro. Scott
