Jeremiah 51:5 NASB95 For neither Israel nor Judah has been forsaken By his God, the LORD of hosts, Although their land is full of guilt Before the Holy One of Israel.

God made a covenant with Israel, and our text shows that the Lord will keep that covenant fulfilled no matter the circumstances.

Israel had strayed away from the Kingdom of God during the reign of Solomon's son Rehoboam. They for hundreds of years, had worshipped idols, but although they left God, our text shows God had not left them.

Judah had faltered back and forth based on their king instead of sticking with The King of Kings. In turn, they had much guilt, just as their brother Israel did. They had been living in sin and their sin was guilt.

Yet through all of this, over hundreds of years, God kept His covenant with them. The text says neither of them has been forsaken by his God The Lord of Host. The host is Heaven's Armies, the messengers of God. The Lord was at the ready with His army as he had been many times before. He was, is, and will always be, ready to fight against the attacks of Satan on God's covenant people.

We now live under a new covenant. This covenant is of Grace through faith. God's grace is poured out on man through the conduit of faith placed in Jesus that God has given to man.

If we will use that faith to receive His grace then we are placed into the hand of The Lord of Host. He is ready to fight for us just as He is Israel and Judah.

The same Israel and Judah that had filled their land with the guilt of sin. Yet God, The Lord of Host, is a covenant keeper and commander of the undefeated heavenly army.

Now that same God is willing to fight the same way for you. If you have placed your God-given faith in Jesus and received God's grace. He will never give up on you. Even if you have filled your land and yourself with guilt. The Lord of Host will never leave you alone!

You who are saved by God will stand before the Holy One of Israel. Even in your guilt as it is washed away by the blood of Christ.

Those who are not saved will bow their knee and confess Jesus as Lord, but it will be too late. They will flee into Hell from the Lord of Host!

Either be held in His righteous right hand or behold His army. The choice is ours.

Love Bro. Scott
