Do you have Jesus as Lord?

Have you believed in the truth of the Gospel?

Are you committed to the truth that Jesus is the perfect sinless Son of God wrapped in flesh, fasting from the glories of heaven, for the purpose of taking our place in death? Are you committed to the truth, that He was buried, and that He rose from the dead having defeated death? Are you committed to the truth that He now lives forevermore, and that He has ascended to the Father to make intercession for us?

Being committed to this truth have you confessed Jesus as your Lord? If you have done this, then you are set like concrete in the salvation that He provides. His word professes this to you.

Then His word tells us. Revelation 1:1-2 NASB95 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John, who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.

God gave this revelation of who Jesus is, and what He has done. We have just read and if we have received Him as Lord, it has sealed us.

Then He gave the revelation of end times. He gave this to the Apostle John because these things which must SOON take place.

Some will say they haven't happened in 2000 years. To this I say, that means we are 2000 years closer to what MUST SOON TAKE PLACE!

It is coming and it is coming soon! That means if it happens tomorrow, you have friends and family who will suffer the Great Tribulation! That means if it happens in the next ten years you will meet hundreds if not thousands of people in that time frame that could go through the Great Tribulation! That means if it happens in the next 50-75 years there are people who are alive today who will see the rapture and possibly suffer the Great Tribulation. That means if it happens in the next 100 years, there are people who are being born now who without Christ will suffer the fate of this world! That means if it happens in the next 2000 years we are halfway there.

John understood the importance of this revelation. He understood the urgency, God said it must SOON take place. Because of his understanding, he testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.

John testified the word. He shared the testimony of the gospel of Jesus the Christ.

Look at whom he testified and shared with. It says "even to all that he saw."

John understood the urgency. So he shared, "even to all that he saw."

In fact, he shared even with us whom he has not seen.

Do you remember that if the rapture were to happen within the next 100 years, there are people alive now and being born today who could be here when it happens? They could go through the Great Tribulation. Do you understand that if it happens within the next two millennia, we are halfway there? Should we not be like John and share for their sake? Because others shared we do not have to be concerned for our sake. However, what about our loved ones and our neighbors?

Let me close with this. Even if "SOON" for God is 4000 years from now. If we unlike John don't share, then within 100 years all the people we have known and met will have died and many of them will enter hell.

Because, John knew this our text says, he testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, EVEN TO ALL THAT HE SAW.

Will you do the same today?

This MUST SOON TAKE PLACE!

Love Bro. Scott
