James 5:7-8 NASB95 Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains. You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near.

Confusion, chaos, attacks, mockery, torture, and death, had filled that Friday. Three crosses on a hill and a guilty man going free. An innocent man carrying a cross to suffer the death of a sinner. All the power of life in him was held back by the strength of love and obedience. Surrounded by people, He cried out all alone, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" The unity of the three cords of the triune God were in complete agreement as one strand is broken. We didn't break the cord, for we have not the power. He broke it Himself as He exhaled His last breath exclaiming “Father, INTO YOUR HANDS I COMMIT MY SPIRIT.” A spear to the side confirmed His death as blood and water exploded out. A lifeless body brought down from the cross was taken to a tomb by two followers who had not the faith to follow in public. They rolled a large stone in front of the tomb to seal it. There it laid. A dead body without life on that Friday evening. The Sabbath approached. The day was silent. Not a word from God. His Son lay dead in a dark tomb of death because of our sin. Friday night turned to Saturday, and the Son of God was dead.

SILENT SATURDAY!

God had been silent before. David asked God the same thing Jesus did. David in prophecy while not realizing the hand of God was still at work cried out. "My God my God, why have you forsaken me?"

Yet, after the silence, David was King, and his son came to the throne after him.

Job says I wish to hear from God. Job 23:3 NASB95 “Oh that I knew where I might find Him, That I might come to His seat!"

Yet after the silence, Job was given even more than he had before the dark silent time.

For 400 years there was no prophecy until a man named Simeon had a revelation from the Lord. Luke 2:26 NASB95 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.

After the silence came the birth of the Christ!

After the silence came a king in David!

After the silence came a wealth of blessings in Job!

After the silence came the life of a Savior!

It had been loud and chaotic then the silence of death. The silence filled the evening, the night, the morning, the day, the evening, the night, and the morning. However, Sunday came!

And after the silence was life, blessings, the birth of a new covenant, the glory of a King, and life. Life broke the silence! The stone rolled away and the soldiers fainted in fear, as the silence broke from death to life!

Today might be silent. Remember, great things come from God after the silence!

Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains. You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near.

The silence will break! Don't go looking for the living among the dead.

Life has come! He is risen!

After the silence of God, amazing things happen!!!

He is risen, He is Alive!

Love Bro. Scott
