He who believes in Me will live even if he dies." ~ Jesus
Throughout the book of Job, we see a man in torment. Satan tries everything he can short of taking Job's life to cause him to turn his back on God and curse Him.
Friends come, and in an attempt to make things better, they actually make them worse. His wife encouraged him to give up and die. All the while he is dealing with the death of his children, the loss of his wealth, and the failing of his health. In his misery, Job endures all of this without cursing God.
Because of sin this world is a place of suffering and death. You might presently be going through something that nobody else knows about or understands. There are times in everyone's life that cause you to wonder if it is all worth it.
Why didn't Satan just kill Job? The answer is because God would not let him. God is life and in life death is not an option. Job might not have understood or even felt God as he went through all his suffering but the fact that he lived shows God's presence. If you will strive for life God will hold on to you. Jesus through His resurrection provides eternal life. John 11:25 NASB95 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies.
A man who has Jesus as Lord will pass from life instantly through death into life eternal.
"He who believes in Me will live even if he dies." ~ Jesus
Job believed, he kept faith in the Christ.
Your life will have days like Jobs' miserable life. However, if you will place faith in the only Begotten Son of God and in His Gospel, then you will live!
The Lord finishes off the book of Job with these verses. Job 42:12-17 NASB95. The LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; and he had 14,000 sheep and 6,000 camels and 1,000 yoke of oxen and 1,000 female donkeys. He had seven sons and three daughters. He named the first Jemimah, and the second Keziah, and the third Keren-happuch. In all the land no women were found so fair as Job’s daughters; and their father gave them inheritance among their brothers. After this, Job lived 140 years, and saw his sons and his grandsons, four generations. And Job died, an old man and full of days.
Job was rewarded for His faith.
If Job was going to say something to you today I think he would just repeat Jesus.
He who believes in Me will live even if he dies." ~ Jesus
Today in your misery remember that Job believed. The LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning, And Job died, an old man and full of days. Job believed, do you?
