Psalm 62:1-2 NASB95 For the choir director; according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. My soul waits in silence for God only; From Him is my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.

Under attack? Health failing? Marriage crumbling? Children straying away? Job stressful? Tempted often by sin? Gossip attacking? Feel alone? School struggles? Bills piling up? Recently lost a loved one? In the process of losing a loved one? Lost all your possessions in a disaster? Under physical or emotional abuse?

I might have left your situation off but know this for sure. God desires to bring you salvation through the stronghold of His Son, Jesus!

There is not a situation that you have been through, are presently going through, or will go through in the future, that God can not save from.

David, in our text, was under attack. This attack was more than likely a military attack that was spearheaded by his own son and many of David's so-called friends. All while being spiritually attacked by Satan.

David had friends with him yet he felt alone. He says, "My soul waits in silence for God only." He was not waiting for His friends to save him. He was waiting in silence for only God. He wasn't crying out because the enemy might hear, plus he loved the enemy. Instead, he sat quietly in complete trust that God would save him. David says, "From Him is my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken."

Whether my son is defeated or he is victorious, my Stronghold has me, and I will be with the Lord.

Let this be a lesson to us who are under attack: If we will trust and wait upon the Lord, we can be assured that He who saved us through His Son will be our salvation. No created thing can separate us from the love of God.

Sit in silence and wait on God only. From Him is my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.

Love Bro. Scott
