Do you remember a time when you were involved in something foolish? You look back now and realize just how foolish you were to have been involved in it. If you cannot remember a time, then the chances are that you are involved in foolish behavior now.

We are all guilty from time to time of letting our flesh have control as we are disobedient to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Then there are the times before you had the Holy Spirit where the majority of your decisions and actions are done in a foolish nature. To be foolish is to make decisions or behave in a manner that is unwise and/or irrational. To live in a way that focuses on the now or immediate future of a temporal existence, when you will continue on in an immortal and eternal existence is to be foolish. Your focus will pass away while you continue on in the eternal consequences of your decisions in the focus of a temporal existence. Why focus on the now when it is already passed? Now immediately becomes the past and the future will end. Because in time all will end. However, the now in eternity is always now because now never ends without time there is no past and no future because there is no beginning and no end.

In time we are deceived into thinking now is important but when it immediately ends and becomes the past we realize we have been deceived because of our foolishness. We get bound in lust and pleasure that passes. Then this causes our jealousy with others whom we see in their now and don't realize it is immediately passing. We have malice (evil thoughts because of our envy and begin to hate one another. This is the fruit of foolishness.

Titus 3:3 NASB95 For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

The fruit of wisdom (which is the fear of God) is righteousness, peace, reason, mercy, and love for each other. Because the focus through the Holy Spirit is on eternity, desiring none to perish.

James 3:16-17 NASB95 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.

Don't be foolish, focus and live for an eternity in the presence of the eternal God. You can even experience Him now.

Oh I mean now.

I mean now.

I mean even here, and until the non-existent ending, of an everlasting eternity!

Love Bro. Scott
