Malachi 4:2 NASB95 “But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall.

When I was a child growing up there was a change going on. I didn't notice it at the time but looking back I see it. I actually became a part of it. For this I have regret. Respect for others was disappearing. It has diminished greatly over the short 56 years of my life. Little steps that I fought to take I now see as steps Satan used to take us further and further away from the reverence of God. We used to say 'Mr.' or 'Mrs.' as a sign of respect and to lift someone up. Now we speak down to everyone. I remember being a smart-mouthed prideful little kid saying to my granny that if people wanted my respect they would have to earn it. I said this after she told me, to show some respect and call someone Mr. Before saying their name.

Looking back now I see how prideful I was. How I showed no respect. Now I see how little respect people have for others and I am ashamed of my sin. Because of this lack of respect, for others, we have also lost our reverence for God.

Malachi 4:2 NASB95 “But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall.

People have no fear, awe, or respect for the name of God. If people don't have reverence for His name then you know there is no reverence for Him.

I have seen how little steps away from humility have caused us to walk miles in pride until humility has become a distant memory.

No respect. No reverence. No honor.

When we show no honor here on earth. We start to think we are the only ones deserving of honor and then we have no reverence for the Lord.

This is dangerous because God says, that those who show fear, (reverence, and awe) for the name of the Lord will experience the Joy of the sun of righteousness. This is comparing the warmth and light of the sun, producing Vitamin D3 in your body, which makes you feel good, to Jesus. He produces a new birth in you that clears away the aches of years of sin. The text says the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings.

The feeling of joy comes from Christ and makes you experience freedom so you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall. After being confined for a period the calf bounces around with joy at its freedom.

This feeling and more can be experienced by those who receive the Son of Righteousness because of their fear (reverence, and awe) of the name of God. Mankind has taken small steps throughout time to remove humility and walked miles in pride. However, the great thing is that surrendering to the righteous humility in Jesus the Christ is like taking a multiple miles recovering jump from the stall of pride into the freedom of humility and reverence. One step in reverence to God is equal to more than a lifetime of steps following Satan in pride and showing a lack of respect for the only name that saves.

Enjoy the freedom of being released from the stall of pride to live free in God's pasture of reverence to all, on Humility Hills Ranch. Join with the cattle on thousands of hills, who show reverence to the name of the Lord. And experience the warmth and joy of the sun of Righteousness.
