A man living in a flood-prone area had received notification that the levy was close to being breached. He bowed down and started to pray. A few moments later, a truck came by and stopped, and the people said climb in the levy is about to break. He responded no thanks my Lord will save me. They left, and later that day, the levy broke. Some people came by in a boat and said to the man who had retreated to a second-story window, get in the water is continuing to rise. The man responded, no thanks my Lord will save me. A short time later, the man had retreated to the roof of his house. As the water was at his feet, a helicopter hovered over his head, and a rescue worker was lowered down. He said hold on I will pull you into the helicopter for a safe escape. The man said no thank you, my Lord will save me. He later drowned and went to heaven. He said Lord, what happened? I kept waiting for you to save me. The Lord God said, "I sent a truck, a boat, and a helicopter; you neglected my salvation."
A man was told that scripture says Jesus is THE way to the Father. The man replied I think I am good enough. A friend told him these feelings you are having is the Holy Spirit convicting you of your need for Salvation through Jesus. The man replied I will just do more good. The local preacher came and shared the gospel with him. To which he said, I don't think you are that good. The preacher shared the gospel again and said I am not good enough which is why God offered us a great atoning sacrifice for our salvation. The man replied well, I am leaving a large sum of money to the church whenever I die. I am alright.
The man died and went before God for judgment. After seeing God in his Holy Righteousness and seeing himself, with his attempts at Righteousness looking like filthy rags He said,
Hebrews 2:3 NASB95 how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? After it was at the first spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard.
The Lord said unfortunately you chose and refused to accept. Depart I never knew you.
The men had heard it spoken come receive free salvation. The ones who had shared said look we are saved through this salvation but each time they said no.
They did not escape because they neglected God's salvation.
Have you neglected it?
If you have it, are you sharing it with others? If not that is neglect also.
God offered it to you. Now, what you received, go share with others.
If you haven't received it, don't neglect such a GREAT SALVATION.
Love Bro. Scott
