Matthew 4:23-24 NASB95 Jesus was going throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people. The news about Him spread throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them.

There was a 15-year-old boy. He had good parents a good family and by the eyes of the world, he was a good young man. However, he had thoughts in his heart of evil. He had many times done wrong things and thought he had gotten away with it. He had a genetic defect. He had been born with a sin seed. One day he was at church with his parents and the preacher preached the words of God. At the same time the Holy Spirit convicted his heart of his sin. Thoughts of the Son of God's sacrifice to save him from the wages of his sin ran through his mind. He repented of his sin. He placed his faith in Jesus and was saved. The sins were forgiven and he was healed. He walked out that day living a new life. The news of his salvation through the saving grace of Jesus spread quickly. The news was even spreading in different states.

How did they spread so quickly? He simply couldn't wait to tell everyone.

However, Satan went to work quickly and, within two years, had mostly succeeded in silencing him. In fact, in less than three years, the Lord had called this young man to preach, and the news went nowhere. Why didn't this news spread? Because He simply told no one. Over the next 37 years, this man went through highs and lows. Yet God continued to bless him. He would share Jesus and then he would be silent about Jesus.

Imagine if he would have kept spreading the gospel (good news) of Jesus that whole time. How many more might be in the Kingdom through his obedience.

I wonder if you have experienced a similar story? Have you shared the good news of your healing of sin and then been silent?

Many people who read this Devotional live in different states. What would happen if the good news of Jesus' Salvation was spread by each reader over the next three weeks? What would happen if, along with that news, an invitation was given to join them in Church for Easter?

What would happen if we continued to share and bring people to Jesus and His church from here on out?

If we followed the example of the Syrians in our text for the rest of our lives, I wonder how many people would be healed of their sin debt?

Let's give it a try. Let's start with the next three weeks. However, don't give Satan a mouth hold on you after that. If he silences us now people will cry out in torture for the rest of eternity.

Speak boldly the gospel now or forever hear their screams.

Love Bro. Scott
