I remember when I was young, my brother and I would do our chores around the house, and at times when Mom and Dad could afford it we would get an allowance. We both would take that money, along with what we might receive for our birthdays, and save it to buy a toy. When a grandparent or other family member, would take us to town to buy something. I would gather up my money. We would go to town, pick something out, and then go to the register. I would then buy mine and my brother would tell my grandparents that he had forgotten his money at home. So they would buy his. It always frustrated me that he had more money than I because he would always leave his money at home. I always wondered whether he was forgetful or a sneaky tightwad. Either way, he thankfully outgrew this.
Some people never do. Their whole focus in life is money.
How can I get it?
It is never enough.
Save it and use it to make more of it.
Cheat people and strive to have or get more of it than the next person.
Money is it and it is everything to them.
It doesn't matter to them if it be paper, coins, silver, gold, diamonds, or whatever else. Just as long as it is valuable to others and gives them power. It has destroyed nations, families, and individuals and it is nothing more than items.
Because there is always more to get, it is never enough.
Then when you die others take it and you have nothing that money can buy.
Judas Iscariot kept the money for Jesus' disciples. Yet he wanted more. So he agreed to turn Jesus over to the Pharisees, but for what? Scripture tells us in Luke 22:5 NASB95 They were glad and agreed to give him money.
30 pieces of silver. Silver that didn't make him happy. Silver that he didn't take with him. Silver that was used to buy a plot of land for his body to be placed to decay into dust.
Satan says, think of all that money will buy, and then he laughs when you get to hell empty-handed. I can't even count the number of families I know who saved hard to give money to their children when they die. Then they go to the grave with nothing and their family is torn apart fighting over money that they will not take with them either.
Judas felt remorse (sorrow) and killed himself. He didn't feel repentance. Repentance is being sorry for sin and turning to and being willing to do what is right. Judas just felt remorse and instead of repenting he thought he was taking the easy way out. Let me make this very clear: HELL IS NEVER THE EASY WAY OUT!
Instead of focusing on money which scripture says, the love of, is the root of all sorts of evil. Focus on Jesus! He doesn't cost anything. Everything He offers including life, He has paid for and gives it to you free. You will keep what He gives you, into eternity. You can give away to others all that Jesus gives to you, and you will still have it for yourself. Jesus gift is eternal and always fully complete. No matter how much you share with others your gift is never less than complete. He is the most precious and valuable gift you can receive. Nothing is worth more and nothing else is eternal. His value doesn't fluctuate.
Don't be like Judas and fight for money only to realize in the end it has no eternal value. You can receive omnivalor (all value) of Christ right now by repenting and surrendering yourself to Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Satan loves to make you think that something is amazing when it is not. One of the longest words in English is floccinaucinihilipilification. While it may sound impressive, it simply means having little to no value.
Satan, has done this with money. While it sounds impressive to say, millionaire, or billionaire, all it really means is, you have a whole lot of nothing in eternity unless you have Jesus.
Praying you are wealthy in the omnivalor of Jesus.
Love Bro. Scott
