1 Thessalonians 5:9 NASB95 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Paul is speaking to those who are of the day. Those who are of the light. Jesus professes that He is the light of the world. Those who follow Him are to be a light. Let your light shine so others can see your good works and give glory to the Father in heaven. Those who have placed their faith in the Gospel of Jesus are not destined by God for wrath. Since we are not destined for God's wrath, then we in faith have been destined for the opposite of God's wrath, which is to obtain His Salvation. His wrath is the absence of His presence and His Salvation is being in His presence for all eternity! We are all sinners and not deserving of His righteous presence. As sinners, the wages of our sin is death, eternally separated from God. This is our earnings. Jesus willingly took our earnings and gave us His at no charge to us.

We are deserving of wrath but not destined by God, to it.

We are undeserving of Salvation but offered the obtaining of it by God, through faith in our Lord Jesus the Christ.

Both are of God. Showing His desire for all to be saved and come to the knowledge of truth.

For your part will you?

The knowledge of truth is available to you through Faith in Christ. Will you receive it?

Love Bro. Scott
