Do you have a plan?

The time for the passover was approaching and Jesus sent His disciples ahead. Jesus told them, "Go and prepare the Passover for us, so that we may eat it.”

They were confused. Where should we go? Where will we find the supplies that are needed? Who will provide a place for us? However, Jesus spoke again, When you have entered the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house that he enters." “You shall say to the owner of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?”’ “He will show you a large, furnished upper room; prepare it there.”

Then we come to our text for today. Luke 22:13 NASB95 And they left and found everything just as He had told them; and they prepared the Passover.

Jesus gave them specific details and they found EVERYTHING just as He told them. It was like He had been planning this all along.

It is like God already had it planned in Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.”

It is like God was giving the world a prophecy in Exodus 12:21 NASB95 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Go and take for yourselves lambs according to your families, and slay the Passover lamb.

It is like God put effort into planning an atonement for our sin long before He allowed it to happen. Acts 2:23 NASB95 this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death.

It is like God knew it was needed when He sacrificed an animal for sin and made skin coverings for Adam and Eve. Genesis 3:21 NASB95 The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.

It is like.

No it isn't like, it is that God knew in His omniscience and made a way for all mankind to spend eternity with Him.

Jesus knew the plan because He was the plan!

He sent them to prepare what He had been preparing for since before the foundation of the world.

It isn't like, it is that God planned all along for you to be reconciled to Him.

Are you making plans to be with Him?

If you are then stop! You don't need to make plans you just need to place your faith in God's plan! Jesus has always been God's plan! So don't plan He already has. Instead, just receive! Then you can plan on walking in Him by complete surrender. Which isn't a plan, it is obedience.

We spend our lives planning when the plan was formed before we were. All we have to do is have complete faith in the plan!

When you are asked what is the plan, simply answer Jesus!

Jesus is the plan.
