Ezekiel 34:15 NASB95 “I will feed My flock and I will lead them to rest,” declares the Lord GOD.

I remember as a child we were not a wealthy family, however we had so much. I not only had all my needs provided but I also had many wants as well. I often didn't realize this.

God is so good to us yet we miss out on this still today. Just as I did.

When I was seventeen I bought a motorcycle. I worked and paid for it by the blessings of God. I enjoyed that bike so much. Then a friend of mine got a bigger more name brand motorcycle and I wasn't as happy with mine anymore. How could I forget the blessing from God so quickly. It is called selfishness and it hinders our joy that God so richly blesses us with.

As a child I always had food to eat but there were many times it wasn't what I wanted. It is a blessing to have food. Yet I often in selfishness didn't eat and I missed out on God's blessings.

Our text says, I will feed My flock and I will lead them to rest,” declares the Lord GOD.

We hear people all the time complain about something in life. The truth is that often God has blessed them and they refuse to eat it or enjoy His blessing.

I am having to eat potted meat while my brother down the road eats steak. We get upset and miss out on our blessing because we forget we don't even deserve the potted meat.

God is blessing us. He is offering us food and rest. We must make sure we don't push away from the table just because we are spoiled or not go to bed because the sheets are not Egyptian cotton.

We must remember we deserve hell but in Christ we will eat from the tree of life and rest at the feet of Jesus.

Life is a blessing and we must eat of it when it is set before us!

Love Bro. Scott
