Luke 8:25 NASB1995 And He said to them, “Where is your faith?” They were fearful and amazed, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him?”
The disciples and Jesus were heading in a boat to the other side of the lake when waves started to overcome the boat. The disciples were frightened and Jesus was sleeping. The disciples woke Jesus up to let him know they were about to die. Jesus told the waves and the wind to stop and they did. The disciples were amazed and began to question who is this man. They had already realized he is the Messiah but still didn't understand that He is the Son of God. Jesus asked them a question that we need to ask ourselves today.
Where is your faith?
In the times of storms, where is your faith?
In times of Joy, where is your faith?
When Satan is tempting you, where is your faith?
When you don't understand, where is your faith?
In the middle of your busyness, where is your faith?
In the middle of the night, where is your faith?
When you feel alone, where is your faith?
When you want to give up, where is your faith?
At the moment God blesses you, where is your faith?
At the moment that you don't feel blessed, where is your faith?
In the middle of a crowd of friends and family, where is your faith?
In the middle of your enemies, where is your faith?
Put plain and simple, no matter where you are or what you are going through, ask yourself, where is my faith?
Faith is the absolute reality of what we have placed our hope in. It is the complete assurance of what we cannot see.
Faith is committing to absolute truth (fact) what you know but haven't seen.
I have never seen oxygen but I have experienced it. Therefore I have faith it is there.
I have never physically seen Jesus but I have experienced Him! I have experienced Him in an even greater way than I have experienced oxygen. Therefore I have faith in Him.
No matter what is going on in your life, make sure when you look to your faith, you see that it is exactly where it needs to be. In JESUS!
Where is my faith? It is in JESUS!
I pray your faith is there too.
