Deuteronomy 26:11 NASB95 and you and the Levite and the alien who is among you shall rejoice in all the good which the LORD your God has given you and your household.

In this season of Thanksgiving, God led me to this verse this morning. This chapter speaks of the Jew who, it says, is to take a tithe from the first fruits of his labor and give it to the Lord. He shall then give a testimony of how God has blessed him from his time of being bound in Egypt to God's salvation and the blessings of his life since.

We have lost this in the church. So few people share their testimony of being lost and finding salvation, leading to the blessings of life. We see in our verse today that if we will tithe the first fruits, share the testimony of God's blessing through salvation, then there will be rejoicing.

Deuteronomy 26:11 NASB95 and you and the Levite and the alien who is among you shall rejoice in all the good which the LORD your God has given you and your household.

We are missing out on the rejoicing because we have forgotten the tithe and the testimony, which is thanksgiving for all God has done. If we do these things, we will find ourselves rejoicing in all the good that God has done for us and our families.

Notice that this will spread to people outside your family and the church. Our text says, You and the Levite and the alien who is among you shall rejoice in all the good which the LORD your God has given you.

You will rejoice.

The Levite representative of the church will rejoice.

The alien who is among you, representing the lost who are being saved, will rejoice.

Do you want some rejoicing in your life? Then give testimony of thanksgiving for the salvation of God in your life!

Are you thankful?

Love Bro. Scott
