Song of Songs 8:6 NASB95 “Put me like a seal over your heart, Like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, Jealousy is as severe as Sheol; Its flashes are flashes of fire, The very flame of the LORD.
I wear a ring that shows that I am sealed to my wife. It has no end and neither does our marriage. Until death do us part. We have decided to love strong. Not to allow anything in the world to break the seal.
Jealousy is dangerous it can destroy a marriage as it takes it to decay in the grave.
Love is stronger, like lightning, it is intense enough to destroy jealousy.
Love is a flame of the Lord. 1 John 4:19 NASB95 We love, because He first loved us.
Love can burn up all that is around it if it is sealed. It leaves nothing but purity behind. The love of God is a fire that even licks up the warer.1 Kings 18:38 NASB95 Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
Song of Songs 8:7 NASB95 “Many waters cannot quench love, Nor will rivers overflow it; If a man were to give all the riches of his house for love, It would be utterly despised.”
Love that is sealed can not be quenched. Nor can it be drowned.
No man has enough wealth to buy true love.
This is the truth of real love, yet man scoffs at it and doesn't take it seriously.
Love comes from God. 1 John 4:8 NASB95 The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
Make sure you seal the love of God on you.
You can do this by trusting in His Son.
1 John 4:9 NASB95 By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.
Without the seal (commitment) (faith) in love, jealousy will take it to the grave and you with it.
But with the seal (commitment) (faith) in love, the fire of God will burn in you and cannot be quenched by a river of water. It will not drown and it can't be purchased away!
1 John 4:15-19 NASB95 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us.
The power of true love, experienced in Christ and shared in marriage!
