Matthew 24:21-22 NASB1995 For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

Yahweh God is such an amazing God. Only an omniscient, omnipotent, and Holy God is capable of reconciling a people deserving of death with Himself, a God who is alive. He is full of Justice and yet full of forgiveness. He is full of righteousness and yet full of grace. Only God Himself could fulfill Justice while providing mercy to us. He was only able to do this through the atoning blood sacrifice of His Son. We see this same God in action as Jesus speaks of those who are here through the tribulation such has not occurred since the beginning of the world. They are deserving of this, just as all men are because Romans 3:23 NASB1995 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

And Romans 6:23a NASB1995 For the wages of sin is death.

The Righteous and just God sees people getting their deserved punishment. Yet because He is a merciful and forgiving God, He knows, "Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved." So, being this type of God, it says for the sake of the elect, those days will be cut short.

Elect means chosen. How do we explain that for the sake of the chosen, He cuts the days of the tribulation short? It is really quite simple. We look at Scripture and see the answer. John 3:16 NASB1995 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (emphasis mine).

2 Peter 3:9 NASB1995 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. (emphasis mine)

There are many others showing God chooses all. Those who accept His choosing will receive His election.

What an amazing and awesome God He is. He is everything righteous as there is no righteousness apart from Him, and yet He is everything merciful as there is no mercy apart from Him. Not only that He is everything Just and Holy because there is nothing Just and Holy apart from Him. Plus He chose you to be His children. Will you receive His choice of you or will you refuse.?

Why would anyone refuse Him???

He is so..................................

There are just no words to describe Him!

Love Bro. Scott
