Luke 19:4 NASB95 So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree in order to see Him, for He was about to pass through that way.

Zaccheus was a wealthy man. He was a man of power. Being the chief tax collector he was unliked by most but surely had all the friends money could buy. Yet something was missing and he knew it. When he received word that the Messiah was coming that way he wanted to see if it was true. Was this man really the Messiah. He had a great desire to see. So much so that this man who was rich, important, and powerful, was willing even to climb a tree to see. He didn't care how it made him look as long as he could look upon Jesus.

He wanted to see Jesus. What are you willing to do to seek Jesus? Are you willing to leave or lose everything to see Jesus. What does it profit a man to gain the whole world but to lose his own soul. You must be willing even though it might not be required of you. The truth is when you seek Jesus you will find Him and when you find Him you have everything. So although you give up everything you gain even more. But all you truly want is what you seek. Are you seeking Jesus?

Zaccheus was seeking, and as scripture tells us Jesus went to Zaccheus' house. Luke 19:9-10 NASB95 And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he, too, is a son of Abraham. “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Jesus is seeking you to save you. Jesus is seeking your friends and family to save them. Have you shown them what it looks like to seek Jesus? Sometimes it looks silly. Like a rich, powerful, and important man climbing a tree. No matter what it looks like it is always worth it.

Have you climb any trees in your search for Jesus?

Seek and find as He seeks you.

Love Bro. Scott
