John 4:35-38 NASB1995 Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest. Already he who reaps is receiving wages and is gathering fruit for life eternal; so that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. For in this case the saying is true, ‘One sows and another reaps.’ I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored and you have entered into their labor.”

What are we waiting for?

There are over 8 billion people alive today. Roughly 2 billion claim to be Christians. The actual number is probably much less. I say this because, in my 55 years, I have seen many people who said they were saved realize they were not. They come to Christ later. Scripture makes it perfectly clear that Jesus is the only way to everlasting life with the Father in eternity. Since it is so clear in John 14:6 NASB1995 Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

Jesus, who spoke our text today and said He is the only way to the Father, also said this. Matthew 10:28 NASB1995 Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

So Hell is real. The field is ready. There are over 6 billion people in the world who are heading to hell because they don't know Jesus. If you are a Christian, then you KNOW Jesus is the only way to the Father. Jesus didn't give us the responsibility of just the harvest but said some sow and some reap. So I must ask again what are we waiting for? When you leave the field unplanted there is no harvest. When you don't cultivate and work the field the harvest is small. When you don't harvest the field the crop withers and dies. Jesus said, "Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest."

Do you love Jesus?

What are we waiting for?

We talk about faith a lot. We do this because faith is the means that God gives us to receive His grace. Faith is the vessel He has given us to receive His grace as He pours it out. Picture God standi
