Have you ever tried to imagine God? It is not possible. There are no words to describe Him and no visual illustrations to compare Him to.
Ezekiel says this in seeing God's Glory. Ezekiel 10:4 NASB95 Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub to the threshold of the temple, and the temple was filled with the cloud and the court was filled with the brightness of the glory of the LORD.
A cloud of brightness. As the Sun shines so bright that we can't look at it, it's rays hit clouds in the sky. Clouds both scatter and reflect light while absorbing some of it. The cloud therefore greatly diminishes the light. Yet in Ezekiel's description His cloud filled the temple and yet the court or exterior part of the temple was filled with the brightness of His Glory. Shining from the Holy of Holies through the cloud which scattered, reflected, and absorbed so that it can't be seen through. Yet in the court was the brightness of His Glory. The cloud while being so thick describing his fullness, did not affect His bright Glory.
What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see. When I look upon His face and see the glory of His grace.
I can not wait to see His glory. Yet I do with excitement wait until He calls me home.
So thick a cloud that light can't penetrate. So bright a light that nothing can block. Beauty untold, glory unseen, and righteousness uncomprehend, will be experienced as we for the first time feel true humility in His presence.
As S.M. Lockridge so elequently said.
"That's my King. I wish I could describe Him to you."
Is He your King?
I pray He is but if not please reach out to me and allow me to show Him to you.
No that isn't possible but I will try.
Let me describe Him to you.
No that isn't possible, but I will try
Let me introduce you to Him. He already knows you!
