2 Chronicles 22:11 NASB95 But Jehoshabeath the king’s daughter took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king’s sons who were being put to death, and placed him and his nurse in the bedroom. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of King Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest (for she was the sister of Ahaziah), hid him from Athaliah so that she would not put him to death.

Satan, has never stopped attempting to ruin the plans of God.

God has never been surprised by Satan's plans.

Satan had attempted to mix the evil line of Ahab with the royal line of David. He thought for a while that he would succeed as the daughter of Ahab was ruling Judah. After her son's death (King Ahaziah), she even attempted to kill off all her son's children, her own grandchildren.

Satan is all about death.

He caused death to begin in God's garden. He strived to cause the death of the male Hebrew children in Egypt. He guided Athaliah to bring about death here. Then, during the time of Jesus' birth, he pushed for the death of children in and around Bethlehem. His goal is always to keep man from having life, because true life is eternal and in the presence of God.

Death is Satan's plan for you.

However, God was not surprised by Satan's plan. God had one of His own. The kings sister from a different mother hid a son of the king. She saved her nephew and preserved the royal line of David. It was preserved so the Savior could come and preserve life.

While Satan is seeking to cause death. God has always had a plan for life. Scripture reveals that God's plan was made before He created. God offers His plan (the Gospel of Jesus) to all.

As Satan is out to kill, God is giving you multiple opportunities to be protected from death. He has done this so you can have life eternal in His presence. This is His desire.

Every time Satan tempts you, and it looks good, remember his goal is your eternal death.

Every time you are convicted by God the Spirit, remember His goal is your eternal life with Him.

Which will you choose?

Love Bro. Scott
