1 Peter 4:10 NASB95 — As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

What are you gifted in? We all have been gifted and that gift comes through the power of God in the Holy Spirit. The question is do we use it? Then, if we use it, what are we using it for? Our church did the Spiritual Gifts test a couple of years ago, and everyone was able to assess their gifts. Then we looked at Spiritual warfare and were able to see ways we can use our gifts to help others in the warfare of life.

When a brother or sister is struggling with a financial crisis due to a lack of planning in their life, they do not need the assistance of someone who is gifted with evangelism. Instead, they need a person gifted in administration. However, if they are lost with no desire to receive Christ and are extremely organized, then someone with the gift of administration, while being able to share the gospel, will not be as beneficial as a person gifted with evangelism.

We are called by God to administer the gifts given to us to reveal the grace of God. We do this in the service of our gifts. This is being good stewards of what God has bestowed on us.

Are we using our gifts for the glory of God or are we like the servant burying our gifts until the Lord returns?

Peter says, As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

This is done first inside the Church and then outside. By using it inside the Church first, you assist other saints to be free and edified in using their gifts as well. Thus the Church goes out healthy and well armed to serve the lost by sharing the manifold grace of God!
