‭1 Corinthians 10:7 Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and stood up to play.”

Kids like to play make-believe. It is fun watching them play house, fireman, and doctor. My little granddaughter likes to play like she is the mommy and her mom is the child. This is cute and fun to watch but there comes a time when you have to be real. Adults say they don't play but we often are playing devout follower of Christ at church and then person of the world the rest of the week. At church, we play like Jesus is our Lord and then the rest of the week live as idolaters worshipping ourselves. I am at a youth camp this week in Maine. My prayer is these youth will realize playing is fine as long as you are real all the time with God. Jesus needs to be your Lord, (ruler, leader, master) 24-7 not just when it is Bible reading time and during worship. How can adults expect kids to do this if we don't? I ask you to pray that we all would be real with God for these youth to see. Because God is Lord when we sit down to do the things of the Lord and He is Lord even when we rise to play.

As you pray for us all here at youth camp to realize and live this, pray also that you will realize it yourself throughout this week.

Love Bro. Scott
