I know a family who has a child with mental illness. He is an adult now and yet in his mind he is still a child. He will never be able to take care of himself. Although we know that this type of thing has entered into the world through sin we still wonder why God allows it to happen.
I know a women in her 40's who was perfectly healthy until she was 10 and a tumor took health away from her. She no longer could talk or eat she struggles to walk and is easily susceptible to illness. She had to learn to sign and can not do much of anything for herself. Although we know that sin has brought this type of thing into the world sometimes we wonder why God allows it to happen.
I know a lady who is a mother to me she was diagnosed with dementia at the age of 57 she is 71 now and has no quality of life. When you love someone like this, although you know that sin brought this type of thing into the world you wonder sometimes why God allows it to continue.
I know of a man who had a thorn in the flesh. He asked God to remove it three times and God's response answers our question why?
2 Corinthians 12:9 And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
We must rely on God's grace to make it through. How do the parents of children with disabilities continue on? God's Grace, it is sufficient even when they don't realize He is giving it to them! How does a man care for a woman who is not in her right mind? God's Grace is sufficient! How does a parent deal with the death of a child? God's Grace is sufficient. How does a man or woman deal with heart break or continue to live when his desire is to be with the Lord? God's Grace is sufficient! How do we continue to live when we know we are weak God's Grace is sufficient and His power is perfected through our weakness! People ask how do people live without God? The answer is they don't even though they deny Him, His Grace is sufficient to sustain their life for His time. His desire, is that the power of Christ will eventually dwell in them. So when we wonder why, stop and realize that through these weaknesses the power of God is perfected and His Grace has been, is, and will continue to be, sufficient for you and them. Thank God we are weak so the power of Christ will dwell in us!
Remember HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT! HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT! HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT!
