Ephesians 1:18 NASB95 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

Have you ever felt at peace while in a difficult situation? Many reading this will say no. However, it is completely possible and it happens often for those whose heart has seen and experienced the enlightening of God.

Someone you love is dying, and you are heartbroken over the loss of their life and companionship. Yet, in the middle of this heartbreaking experience, you feel peace and hope. This is the enlightenment of the eyes of your heart.

Praise God as He reveals to you His hope in a life living out His calling. I have felt and am even now experiencing this glorious gift of God.

However, some might not be feeling this at the current moment. You might be feeling despair instead. Maybe it is not over death, but over a job instead. It may be over your choices. It may be over love or over hate. It may be over following an idol. Maybe you have wandered away from Christ for a season, and you desire that feeling of hope, but you just can't seem to find it. If this is you then you need to look at your circumstances in the life you have chosen. God desires to enlighten the eyes of your heart, but if you keep refusing to repent, which is to turn to Him, then why would He open your heart to the evil it faces? If you will turn back toward Him then He can open your heart to the the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.

He desires to light the way to this glory of His inheritance, but if you are turned in the wrong direction and He opened your heart to the evil in front of you, there would be utter destruction in your life. It could be you are allowed to feel the despair in hopes that you will turn back before you reach utter destruction of your time left on this earth.

I pray today you have repented of the sins in your life and are facing God.

As Paul did so do I!

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.

In the middle of heartbreak and struggle you can have amazing hope and the riches of His glory if you are just facing God so He can enlighten your heart!

Love Bro. Scott
