Is that fish vomit I smell?
I come to you today as a man who never wants to say no to God. I have learned my lesson, and I no longer want to be stubborn. I found out God has more patience than I have stubbornness. 29 years, that is how long I said no to God. I now regret every moment of those years. I have found that there is no place I would rather be than doing God's will. Even if I have to do it covered in fish vomit.
Jonah found this out before me. God had a plan for Jonah. Jonah planned to avoid God's plan. However, he found out that God's plan was so much better that even if it was covered in fish vomit, God's plan meant salvation for others.
Jonah ran from God. God said I will create a storm. Jonah said no God I will die by drowning. God said I will have a great fish swallow you and you will live in the belly of the fish. Then Jonah said this is awful and it stinks in here. So Jonah said I will follow your plan. Jonah 2:1 NASB95 Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God from the stomach of the fish.
God had the fish vomit Jonah up on land and Jonah served the Lord. He was still mad but he decided God's plan was better.
While I have been a stubborn man I doubt I am the only one. I am sure there are others who have said no to God. Let me encourage you to just say yes. God's plan is far better even when it is followed covered in fish vomit.
I am glad I said yes before He said get the fish.
I heard a man the other day say, Do you want to follow God's plan or do you want to be covered in fish vomit and still possibly follow God's plan?
Is that fish vomit I smell?
Let's say yes to God immediately.
Love Bro. Scott
